This year I wanted to get out of Calgary for Canada Day and get some mountains in the photo, so I the choice was between going to Banff and Canmore. I decided to go to Canmore because their fireworks were scheduled to be earlier. This meant there would be more ambient light so the mountains would still be visible, in this case the ‘Three Sisters’. See more at my Canmore Canada Day fireworks photo gallery.

New Website

After letting my previous Drupal based site stagnate, I’ve decided to make more use of my Photoshelter account and it’s integration with WordPress. As a result, I’m in the process of migrating my photo galleries and rebuilding this website.
Sports Day Fireworks – Linden, Alberta

I drove out on June 11, 2011 to photograph the Linden Sports Day fireworks. I had hoped to include the fountain in the photo, but unfortunately it wasn’t on. See more in my Linden Sports Day fireworks photo gallery.
Spock Days / GalaxyFest Fireworks – Vulcan, Alberta

I had been to Vulcan to take pictures of the GalaxyFest fireworks before. This time I wanted to try and include the starship in the photo. As it turns out, the FX6-1995-A starship, Trek Station, and fireworks launch site all line up. See more in my Vulcan Spock Days / GalaxyFest fireworks photo gallery.
